The Central Coast Paralegal Association (CCPA) is offering a scholarship of up to $500 to a deserving paralegal student or a paralegal who is studying for certification. The application deadline is October 1st.
CCPA was founded in 1982 with the goal of advancing and promoting the paralegal profession on the Central Coast. One of the ways CCPA promotes the paralegal profession is by recognizing students and paralegals in their educational endeavors. CCPA offers scholarships to paralegal students and to those who are interested in obtaining paralegal certification. The scholarship deadlines are April 1 and October 1 of each year.
CCPA has increased the award and streamlined the application requirements, so the process is even easier. Applicants are not required to submit a formal essay, but should submit a few short paragraphs about the applicant’s career goals and why the applicant wants to become a paralegal. Complete details are listed in the CCPA Scholarship Policy.
CCPA awarded its first scholarship to a Cuesta College Paralegal Program student in the fall of 2015. Since then, CCPA offers two scholarships each year, one in the fall and one in the spring. The next scholarship will be offered in April.
