CCPA is proud to support the local paralegal community by investing in the next generation of paralegals and furthering those already established in the profession. One way the CCPA exhibits this support is through scholarships. To ensure that the CCPA’s scholarship has a broad impact, only two (2) scholarship awards of up to $500.00 per individual, per calendar year are available.

Paralegal Studies Associate’s Degree or Certificate Program Scholarship

In order to apply for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Current member of the CCPA;
  2. Presently enrolled in a Central Coast-based Paralegal Studies Associate’s Degree or Certificate program which satisfies the requirements of Business and Professions Code section 6450, et seq., or successor provisions;
  3. Proof of completion of at least one course within said program; and
  4. A grade point average of 3.0 or better.

If you meet the above requirements, please complete the Scholarship Application along with (1) proof of completion of at least one course in the Paralegal Program; (2) proof of 3.0 or higher GPA; (3) a letter of recommendation from an instructor; (4) a short essay addressing your career goals and why you want to become a paralegal.

 

Paralegal Certification Scholarship

In order to apply for this scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:

  1. Current member of the CCPA;
  2. Proof of completion of a certification test preparation course; and
  3. Proof of having taken a certification test (regardless of pass or fail).

If you meet the above requirements, please complete the Scholarship Application along with (1) proof of test preparation completion course; (2) proof of test completion; (3) a short essay regarding your certification goals.
