Julie is a civil litigation paralegal at Ernst Law Group and lives with her husband, Bill, and two children, Ethan & Emilie, in San Luis Obispo.
She was raised in the college town of Eugene, Oregon, where she enjoyed participating in various sports and outdoor activities, including volleyball, water & snow skiing, mountain biking, hiking, camping, and anything to do with horses. Her first career was in the travel industry which provided her opportunity to travel often and to move to sunny California, first Los Angeles and eventually Santa Barbara.
In 1989, she moved to the Central Coast to return to college. While completing the Paralegal Studies Program at Cal Poly and attending classes at Cuesta, she volunteered at the TRO Clinic for the Women’s Shelter and worked as a file clerk at the small law firm of Newell & Messer. She was promoted to the paralegal position where she was employed for seven years. When her first child was born, Julie took a break from the stress of litigation and returned to her roots in marketing and travel. In 2003,
she accepted the paralegal position at the Law Office of Daniel J. O’Neill. For a high volume caseload, she handled the litigation life cycle through multiple trials for more than sixteen years.
Julie previously served on the Board of Directors for the Central Coast Paralegal Association as its Secretary and Program Director. She currently serves as the Treasurer.
