Current State of Court Reporting in California
Join the Central Coast Paralegal Association (CCPA) and the Women Lawyers Association of San Luis Obispo (WLASLO) for an informative presentation by Austin McDaniel of McDaniel Reporting on the current state of court reporting in California. This timely program will explore recent developments affecting the profession, including the growing role of voice writers, challenges facing the court reporting industry, and potential solutions to improve access to court reporting services throughout the state.
Given the increasing difficulty many legal professionals face when securing court reporters for depositions and other proceedings, this presentation will provide valuable insight into an issue impacting attorneys, paralegals, and the justice system as a whole. The program will be held on October 20, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the San Luis Obispo Public Library Community Room, with a Zoom attendance option available. Lunch will be provided for in-person attendees. CCPA members may register at the WLASLO member rate through the WLASLO Events Page.
