
Nicole Johnson
Nicole Johnson has nearly two decades of experience in the legal industry and over 23 years as a Notary Public. She currently serves as a Paralegal at Roberts & Spiegel, a personal injury law firm, and as Office Manager and Bookkeeper at Wendt & Abel, a family law firm where she has worked in various roles since 2008.
Nicole holds an associate degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, Humanities, and English from Cuesta College and studied Linguistics at Monterey Peninsula College. She began her legal career in 2006 with Knobbe Martens Olson & Bear, the world’s largest intellectual property firm, as a Facilities Coordinator and Receptionist. After the San Luis Obispo branch closed, she joined Wendt & Abel, quickly advancing to the role of Paralegal.
She has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Central Coast Paralegal Association as Vice President (2014), Program Director (2015), President (2016-2017), and State CAPA Representative. She also served as Executive Director of the San Luis Obispo Bar Association for over three years, where she implemented remote legal education during the global pandemic. Additionally, Nicole contributed to the Cuesta College Paralegal Advisory Committee for three years and has volunteered for Mock Trial as a scorer.
In recognition of her contributions, Nicole was selected as the 2017 nominee for the Central Coast Paralegal of the Year. Outside the office, she enjoys writing, art, travel, and collecting vinyl records. She is also an avid baseball fan and a longtime Cal Poly Mustangs season ticket holder.
